In the event of any injury notify your manager and provide
first aid to the extent that you are trained and are qualified.
A person who has a valid certificate in First Aid training by the American Red Cross or an equivalent shall be available at the worksite to render emergency first aid. While inspectors / consultants are offshore, the first aid supplies will be furnished by contractor. In the event of any injury, notify onsite contractor superintendent or vessel captain and provide first aid to the extent that you are trained and are qualified. Then notify the client representative and MMI management.
As required, follow up care shall be provided to all injured or ill personnel. In the event of a life-threatening medical problem the Emergency Medical System shall be activated. Onshore this usually entails dialing 911 and requesting emergency medical care. Offshore the client’s Emergency Response Plan is activated. This plan includes the method of transporting the injured person to medical facilities. Return
to Work / Light Duty Program If an injury results in a Lost Time Case, the company shall
assign a representative to assure the individual receives appropriate care and
returns to work as soon as possible. For
personnel who are temporarily not able to fully perform their duties Light Duty
Work may be provided. It is MMI's
objective to return personnel to work as soon as medically permissible. Training Personnel must be trained annually in the requirements of this program. All training must be documented.
