A contractor / employee who experiences or witnesses an
injury on the job that requires a doctor’s visit should contact their
employer as soon as possible. The
manager will conduct an accident investigation during the shift the
accident occurs. The proper
forms need to be filed as soon as possible. The
manager’s focus of the accident investigation should be to get as many
facts as possible to help determine the basic cause of the accident.
The manager will take corrective action to remove the hazard from
the workplace. It is
important to prevent this hazard in any area where a similar exposure
exists. MMI will assign a responsible employee to follow up all
preventive actions. Return
to Work / Light Duty Program If an injury results in a Lost Time Case, the company shall
assign a representative to assure the individual receives appropriate
care and returns to work as soon as possible.
For personnel who are temporarily not able to fully perform their
duties Light Duty Work may be provided.
It is MMI's objective to return personnel to work as soon as
medically permissible. Contractor / Employee Responsibilities Contractor / employees must recognize their role in safety.
That role should involve a responsible attitude for personal
safety and the welfare of co-workers and contractors.
